In particular, the exhibition also displays photographs of several important documents affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, such as the ancient map "Hoang Trieu Truc Tinh Dia Du Toan Do" published by the Qing Dynasty (China) in 1904, which clearly shows that the southernmost point of China only extends to Hainan Island, excluding the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos; and the imperial decree of the Nguyen Dynasty (15th year of Minh Mang's reign - 1834) regarding the deployment of troops to defend the Hoang Sa archipelago within Vietnam's territorial waters, preserved for over 170 years by a family in An Hai commune, Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province.

The document from the Governor of Quang Ngai province, Dang Duc Thiem, petitioning for exemption from taxes on renting boats to carry out official duties in Hoang Sa, sent on July 19, 1838...

These documents are of great historical value and significance, making an important contribution to providing tourists visiting Thai Nguyen with more objective evidence affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos.

The exhibition also showcases 21 coral slabs representing the 21 islands and 33 military outposts in the Truong Sa archipelago of our country, which were donated by the Naval Command.

The exhibition contributes to promoting national cultural values associated with the task of protecting the sovereignty of the country's seas and islands, educating all strata of people, especially the young generation of Thai Nguyen, to better understand the meaning and important role of the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos for our country, thereby educating the people of all ethnic groups in the province about the tradition of patriotism.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from now until the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Party on February 3, 2013.

During its opening period, the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures continues to add materials related to Vietnam's seas and islands from the Naval Command and people nationwide.
