Donald Trump's Fitness Philosophy: No Need to Work Out Too Much
US President Donald Trump believes that the human body is like a battery with limited energy.

"I exercise more often than people think," the US President shared withReuters2018. "I exercise by walking or doing this or that. I usually walk to nearby buildings."

In the bookTrump Revealed, authorMike Kranisch and Marc Fisher revealed that Mr. Trump developed his own exercise philosophy since college. Specifically, he believes that the human body is like a battery with limited energy, exercise will consume energy so there is no need to practice a lot.
Trump once warned casino executive John O'Donnell that he would die if he continued training for the Ironman triathlon. The US president has also repeatedly stated that strenuous exercise is harmful to health.
“All my friends who work out all the time have had their knees and hips replaced,” Trump said in 2015. The president also said that most people 55 and older exercise just to have strong, beautiful hips and knees, which he doesn’t need.
Mr. Trump asserted that his health was very good, and that he never suffered from jet lag while traveling. The President shared that he was able to complete the fitness test on the treadmill well despite not having run for a long time and the incline was quite high.
"The medical staff was surprised and told me to stop, but I could continue running if asked," Mr. Trump said.
Advised to spend more time exercising, Mr. Trump still defended his position and only agreed to cut down on food intake.
"I can hit the golf ball very far, proving that my physical health is very good," the US President emphasized.
