Destroyed 2 cockfighting arenas, detained 69 subjects

Two days apart, Thanh Binh District Police coordinated with Dong Thap Provincial Criminal Police to raid two cockfighting arenas, arresting dozens of gamblers.

On the afternoon of March 15, Thanh Binh District Police (Dong Thap) coordinated with the Criminal Police Department to catch 45 subjects red-handed gambling on cockfighting at an empty lot in Trung Hamlet (Tan Thanh Commune).

The gamblers were arrested.

At the scene, the police temporarily seized: 14 roosters, 35 motorbikes, 34 mobile phones and 70 million VND.

Previously, at an empty lot in Tan An hamlet (Tan Hue commune), Thanh Binh district police also arrested 24 people gambling on cockfighting for money.

Temporarily seized were 9 roosters, 44 motorbikes, 18 mobile phones, and over 17 million VND in cash. Both cases are under investigation.
