Dismantling an online football betting ring worth over 300 billion VND

The Investigation Police Agency of Quang Binh Province has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute and issue an arrest warrant for 11 defendants related to the act of organizing gambling and gambling in the form offootball bettingover the internet

According to the police, the total amount of money gambled in the recently busted gambling ring has been initially determined to be over 300 billion VND. The 11 suspects detained are aged between 30 and 42, residing in Quang Trach district, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province and Vinh city (Nghe An province).

Through the investigation, the Criminal Police Department, Quang Binh Provincial Police discovered a gambling ring that organized and gambled in the form of online football betting on cyberspace with many participants. The methods and tricks of operation were very sophisticated, spread across many provinces and cities.

During the process of establishing and fighting the case, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with professional units of the Public Security of Quang Binh and Nghe An provinces to deploy seven working groups with more than 50 officers and soldiers to simultaneously summon the 11 people involved to clarify the acts of organizing gambling and gambling.

Through the investigation, the police determined that the gambling organizers would manage the super-general level account. Then, they would divide it into many master level accounts to give to other people in the network to organize gambling, gambling in the form of football betting over the internet.

The Criminal Police Department, Quang Binh Provincial Police are continuing to fight and expand the case.
