Authorities dismantled an online football betting ring worth over 300 billion VND.

The Investigation Police Department of Quang Binh province has just served the decision to initiate criminal proceedings, indict, and issue arrest warrants against 11 defendants involved in organizing and participating in gambling activities.football bettingvia the internet.

According to the police, initial findings indicate that the total amount of money gambled in the recently dismantled ring exceeded 300 billion VND. Eleven suspects, aged between 30 and 42, residing in Quang Trach district, Ba Don town (Quang Binh province) and Vinh City (Nghe An province), have been arrested and detained.

Through intelligence gathering, the Criminal Police Department of Quang Binh Provincial Police discovered a network organizing and participating in online football betting via the internet, involving numerous participants. The methods and tactics were highly sophisticated and spread across many provinces and cities.

During the investigation and prosecution of the case, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with professional units of the police forces of Quang Binh and Nghe An provinces to deploy seven task forces with more than 50 officers and soldiers to simultaneously summon the 11 individuals involved to clarify their involvement in organizing and participating in gambling.

Through investigation, the police determined that those organizing the gambling operation would manage a super-level account. They would then divide it into multiple master accounts to distribute to other members of the network to organize gambling, specifically online football betting.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the Quang Binh Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
