Busting a bribery and forgery ring in auto inspection
By making a list of vehicles for inspection without working at the center, to legalize it, the subjects forged the signatures of the inspectors to sign the inspection records for cars with extended trunks.
On December 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain 18 suspects to investigate the acts of bribery, bribery brokerage, bribery acceptance, and forgery in the work of motor vehicle registration.
The case occurred at the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 62-03D, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province and the Inspection Center 50-15D on Hoang Huu Nam Street, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City).
The above decisions and orders are approved by the People's Procuracy at the same level.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City Police focused on fighting and destroying a network of bribery, bribery brokerage, bribery acceptance, forgery in work, and tricks of creating inspection lists but not working at the inspection center in Ho Chi Minh City to legalize and instruct subordinates to forge the signatures of inspectors to sign inspection documents, allowing dump trucks to have their walls and bodies extended.

These cars were inspected in violation of regulations, then participated in normal traffic, potentially posing a risk to traffic safety.
The case is being further investigated by the Investigation Police Agency to clarify the responsibilities of those involved in the case.
