The police have just dismantled a ring that forged seals and documents of agencies and organizations combined with the buying and selling of weapons on a nationwide scale.

On April 11, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang Police said that it had just coordinated with professional units to successfully dismantle a large-scale case of "forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations" and "storing and trading in rudimentary weapons and support tools" involving many subjects nationwide.

It is known that in early March 2025, detectives of Team 2, Criminal Police Department of Da Nang Police discovered a number of suspicious subjects related to the act of "Forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations" through the form of buying and selling fake diplomas, fake certificates, fake driver's licenses... so they took measures to verify and collect information.

By applying synchronous professional measures, the Criminal Police Department and the Technical Department of Da Nang Police identified Pham VT (born in 1998, residing in Hoa An Ward, Cam Le District) as an important link, playing the role of a focal point for receiving, transporting and trading these types of "goods" in Da Nang, so they monitored and tracked him. On April 2, 2025, the Criminal Police Department proposed and was authorized by the Director of the City Police to establish a project to combat and destroy this criminal ring.

Some exhibits in the case were seized by the police.

Because this criminal ring involves many subjects nationwide, Da Nang City Police have requested the Department of Technical Services (Ministry of Public Security) to assist. Continuing the investigation and verification, from April 4-11, in addition to Pham VT, Da Nang City Police have successively arrested 3 more subjects involved in this ring, including Huynh Trong Hiep (residing in Long An province), Pham Viet Vinh (born in 1995, residing in Vinh Loc B commune, Binh Chanh district) and Nguyen Thanh Dat (born in 1994, residing in Ward 12, Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City).

During the investigation, the police discovered that Hiep and other members of the ring, in addition to buying and selling fake diplomas and certificates, also stored and traded large quantities of primitive weapons and support tools.

Currently, some subjects in this network have fled and are being hunted by the police. The investigation is continuing.
