Information from PC47, Hai Phong City Police said that this unit has just coordinated with Cao Bang Provincial Police to destroy a large drug ring from China, through Cao Bang province, transported to Hai Phong, and then distributed to other provinces for consumption.

Accordingly, PC47, Hai Phong City Police identified the leader of the above line as Pham Cong Thanh (born 1983, residing in Le Chan district, Hai Phong).

At 6:00 p.m. on March 26, 2016, at An Dong commune (An Duong, Hai Phong), PC47 in conjunction with Department 3, Department C47 and PC67 - Hai Phong City Police caught Pham Cong Thanh and Pham Thi Thanh Thao (born in 1981, Thanh's older sister) red-handed for illegally transporting drugs. They seized 4 kg of crystal meth that Thanh had hidden in a massage chair cushion.

Expanding the case, the police also arrested Nguyen Thi Van (born 1970, Cao Bang). Searching Van's residence, they seized: 1 kg of crystal meth, a car, a motorbike, three phones and some other related evidence.
