The gang took full advantage of communication applications, online groups and express delivery services to sell exceptionally large quantities of counterfeit goods to customers in many provinces and cities.
Implementing the plan to solve the case, many working groups of the City Police simultaneously searched 3 locations: business registration places, packaging places and warehouses; seized more than 10,000 bottles of fake perfume of various types with an estimated value equivalent to real goods of more than 10 billion VND; arrested 7 subjects to continue investigating and clarifying the acts of trading in counterfeit goods, smuggling, tax evasion and related acts to strictly and thoroughly handle them according to the provisions of law.
The results of the destruction of the above gang once again affirmed the determination and effectiveness of Ho Chi Minh City Police in the peak period of attacking and suppressing smuggling and counterfeit goods crimes, contributing to maintaining security and order, protecting consumer rights and a healthy business environment.
