Through the work of grasping the situation in Yen Thanh district and neighboring districts, in recent times, there have been continuous dog theft cases causing insecurity, disorder and anger among the people.

In that situation, a special project was established to fight and destroy it. During the fight, the Special Project Team focused on verifying and establishing the subjects, dog-stealing gangs as well as the main subjects consuming stolen dogs. During the investigation, the biggest difficulty of the Special Project Team was to monitor and grasp the movements of the subjects, because they were all major elements with criminal records. When the subjects stole dogs, they would contact the subjects consuming dogs via social networks.
After a period of monitoring, the Task Force has established 4 dog thieves and 2 buyers. With the determination to successfully break the task force, eradicate all dog theft and dog purchasing points in the area. After 1 month of staying in the area, monitoring the subjects and applying synchronous professional measures, at 7:00 p.m. on March 7, the Task Force decided to break the case, arresting 2 purchasing points including 6 subjects for the acts of "Theft of property" and "Receiving property obtained by others through crime".

The subjects include: Nguyen Duy Dong (born 2001), Hoang Dinh Hieu (born 2000), Nguyen Thi Luyen (born 1983), Phan Ba Tan (born 1981), all residing in Yen Thanh district; Nguyen Huu Tho (born 1980) and Cao Ngoc Thao (born 1985), all residing in Do Luong district. The seized exhibits include 42 dogs, 1 car, 5 motorbikes, 2 knives, 4 dog catching tools, and electric shock devices... At the investigation agency, the subjects admitted all their crimes. Currently, Yen Thanh district police are organizing the return of the dogs to the people.
Currently, the Investigation Police Department, Yen Thanh District Police are temporarily detaining the subjects to continue the investigation. And widely notify the people to receive the stolen property.
