Raiding a farm outside the dike, the police discovered 42 people gambling and seized nearly 400 million VND. Many people jumped into the river to escape but could not.
On March 25, the Criminal Police Department of Hung Yen Provincial Police coordinated with the Mobile Police Department of the Provincial Police and Khoai Chau District Police to suddenly raid the largest gambling den in Khoai Chau District in many years, arresting 42 subjects and seizing a total of 368,400,000 VND.
Initial information about the incident, at around 2:00 p.m. on March 22, 2019, the police force suddenly raided a gambling den at a farm outside the dike, far from the residential area in Xuan Dinh village (Ham Tu commune, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province).

Here, the police discovered and caught red-handed behind this farm 42 subjects gambling in the form of shaking dice and betting money on each other.
Suddenly raided by the police, the subjects jumped into the river to escape. However, all of the subjects were captured by the Hung Yen Provincial Police.
Searching the suspects on the spot and on their person, the police seized a total of VND 368,400,000 in cash and all related evidence.

This is a gambling ring with extremely sophisticated methods. The participants are mostly professional gamblers, many of whom have a history of gambling. Many pawnbrokers show signs of illegal credit activities.
This group has nearly 20 gambling locations, operating in Khoai Chau, Kim Dong and Van Giang districts. They often change locations to avoid police control.
Currently, Hung Yen Provincial Police are detaining the subjects, stepping up investigation to clarify the roles of the subjects and expand the case.
