North Korea threatens to launch military war to unify North and South

"If the US makes even the slightest provocation, the Korean people and army will not hesitate to launch a great war for the reunification of the country," the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea said in a statement.
The newspaper criticized the recent actions of the US as "Washington's crazy policy". Accordingly, the US has not cared about the possible catastrophic consequences.
Pyongyang believes that the period when the US "flaunted its power" and threatened North Korea with nuclear weapons "is behind us." Pyongyang asserts that North Korea is currently the country with the strongest nuclear weapons production in the world.
However, the Rodong Sinmun newspaper commented that the US could still intervene in the plan to unify the Korean peninsula with the help of its allies Japan and South Korea. If such a situation occurs, North Korea's response to the "warmonger's provocation" would be to launch a preemptive strike in its own way. And this would be a war to regain justice, to bring "the country back to one".
Pyongyang has long called for unity and reunification of the Korean Peninsula. Analysts say the country wants to 'kick' the US out of South Korea. North Korea has repeatedly called for dialogue, but Seoul has rejected it, saying Pyongyang has shown no willingness to abandon its ambitious nuclear program.
According to the US military's Pacific Command, the US carrier group includes the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Wayne E. Meyer and USS Michael Murphy, and the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain.
According to the announcement, this group of warships, along with two destroyers of the Japanese navy, is moving towards the Korean peninsula to prepare for joint exercises. The move to "show off" Pyongyang's strength comes in the context of the country preparing to conduct its 6th nuclear test.
