North Korea calls on foreign citizens to evacuate South Korea
North Korea believes that foreigners will not be safe in the event of war between the two Koreas.
The North Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee has issued a warning that all foreign organizations, businesses and individuals including tourists in Seoul and other parts of South Korea should seek shelter and evacuate the country to ensure their own safety amid the impending war.
The organization said that once war breaks out on the Korean peninsula, it will be an “all-out war, a merciless sacred retaliation” waged by the DPRK.
The commission accused the US and South Korea of “waiting for an opportunity” to launch a war against North Korea after massively introducing weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear war equipment, into South Korea.
Last week Pyongyang advised embassies in the city to consider evacuating in the event of war.
