North Korea: US-South Korea military drills are 'most hostile act'
(Baonghean.) - North Korean media on October 13 criticized the US and South Korea for continuing to conduct military exercises, saying this was the "most hostile act" against Pyongyang.
“The U.S. and South Korean military warmongers made vague statements about suspending the joint Marine Corps drills in June last year, after the South-North Korea and U.S.-North Korea summits,” the North’s Uriminzokkiri newspaper said. “But they played with the words, as if they were doing good things for the agreement between us.”

The article also urged Seoul and Washington to think about the consequences of this “reckless” action and instead behave more properly.
Following the failure of working-level denuclearization talks with Washington earlier this month, North Korean media has also stepped up criticism of the United States and South Korea, seeking to ensure North Korea’s security needs by calling for a suspension of joint military exercises and pressuring Washington to change its calculation method in future nuclear talks.
Last month, North Korean media also expressed outrage at comments by South Korean officials, saying tensions had increased on the peninsula following North Korea's missile launches, despite Seoul's efforts to continue dialogue with Pyongyang.
Previously, in August, North Korean media also criticized South Korea for its military exercises, claiming that they were a rehearsal for invading the country.
