North Korea says nuclear weapons are the only option to deal with US hostile policy
North Korea believes that nuclear weapons are its only option to deal with US hostile policies.
According to the New York Post, the above statement was stated in a 5,500-word report by the Institute for Disarmament and Peace under the North Korean Foreign Ministry, published on June 25 on the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.

“The North Korean government has made every effort, through dialogue and resorting to international law, to eliminate the nuclear threat from the United States, but all have ended in vain,” the report said.
“There is only one choice left, and that is to use nuclear to fight nuclear,” the report said, adding that a strong war deterrent to protect the country is an indispensable strategic choice.
By emphasizing the “unreasonable and deeply rooted hostile policy” of the United States, the report asserted that North Korea will continue to strengthen its power, to “contain Washington’s persistent nuclear threats.”
Talks between Washington and Pyongyang aimed at denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula have stalled after the two sides failed to reach a consensus. North Korea has recently made many tense moves with South Korea.
