North Korea refuses negotiations, warns it will destroy the US.

North Korea stated on February 4th that it would not resume negotiations with the "gangsters" of the United States.

According to AFP, North Korea's National Defense Commission (NDC) has pledged to respond to any US provocation with nuclear weapons and cyber warfare.

The NDC's statement comes amid expectations that Washington and Pyongyang will soon resume negotiations on North Korea's controversial nuclear program, which have been stalled for the past six months.

Furthermore, the NDC's statement is also believed to be a response to the joint military exercises conducted by the US and South Korea, which North Korea claims could escalate tensions and cause division on the Korean Peninsula.

Previously, President Barack Obama had predicted the collapse of the North Korean regime, which he called "the most isolated nation in the world."

In response, the NDC called the Obama administration "a garbage dump" and asserted that Obama's statement also amounted to the US plotting to overthrow the regime in North Korea.

"Because the American gangsters have asserted that they will bring down the regime in North Korea, the North Korean military and people have no choice but to officially remind the Obama administration that North Korea does not want and does not approve of sitting down at the negotiating table with the United States anymore," the NDC declared.

In its statement, the NDC also affirmed that North Korea would respond to any military provocation by the United States with conventional weapons, nuclear weapons, or cyberattacks.

The NDC also stated that North Korea is fully capable of bringing about the “destruction of the United States” through “precision and varied nuclear attacks.”
