North Korea claims successful test of ballistic missile engine
According to AFP/Reuters, on April 9, North Korea announced that it had successfully tested an engine designed for an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), to "ensure" a surprise nuclear attack on the US mainland.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered and supervised the missile engine test, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.
The test was conducted at a site near the country's west coast.
