Assistant Pham Anh Tuan leaves, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang loses his 'right-hand man'

According to the confirmation of SLNA Club Executive Director Ho Van Chiem, recently, assistant Pham Anh Tuan has submitted a request to leave the SLNA Team 1 Coaching Board. Considering the reason for the request to leave is valid, SLNA Club's Board of Directors has accepted to resolve according to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan's wishes.

Thus, in the next phase of the 2019 season, the SLNA Club Coaching Board will no longer have the presence of the assistant nicknamed Tuan “Thao”. Most likely, the SLNA Club Leadership Board will leave the seat left by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan vacant until the end of this year’s season.

The departure of assistant Pham Anh Tuan will make the SLNA Club Coaching Board more difficult. With 10 years as assistant coach of SLNA's first team (since 2009), along with Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan is the "right-hand man" of Coach Nguyen Duc Thang in recent seasons.

It is very likely that Mr. Pham Anh Tuan will be appointed to a position in SLNA youth teams. It is known that in the 2007 season, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan was the assistant coach, then became the acting head coach of the first division team, Vinakansai Ninh Binh Club, after Van Sy Hung was fired.

As a player, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan played as a right-back and was in the same generation as famous players Van Sy Hung, Nguyen Huu Thang, Ngo Quang Truong, Phan Thanh Tuan... In the SLNA shirt, the former player wearing the number 12 shirt won many noble titles, typically the V.League championship in 2001./.
