Mr. Son's dairy cows bring in 60 million VND/month in milk revenue.

Understanding the market demand, in 2014, Mr. Nguyen Hung Son started a pilot dairy cow breeding program with high quality selected breeds. After several months of care and raising, 4 cows were ready for milk production.

Realizing the economic efficiency, he continued to invest in buying 4 more mother cows, mainly Australian, American and New Zealand dairy cows. Up to now, the herd has given birth to 14 more calves, bringing the total herd of cows in his family to 22.

The stable output of cow's milk has helped the family boldly invest in modern equipment for livestock farming such as milking machines, cowshed cooling systems, music systems to stimulate milk production, etc. Thanks to the application of good technical advances, the milk content ratio is high.

He said: "Out of 22 cows, 8 are in the milking period. On average, we milk 2 times a day, morning and afternoon, and can milk 25-30 kg of milk per cow. In particular, some cows can milk up to 40-45 kg of milk per day. In the summer, due to the hot weather, the amount of milk is reduced. The daily milk output is about 200 kg per day. With the selling price of 14,000 VND per kg of milk and all collected by Vinamilk, my family earns 60-80 million VND per month."
