Early three days ago, Dat and Tan wandered the streets of Cu Chi, using a homemade electric crossbow to shoot two dogs. When they arrived at Xom Dong hamlet (Tan Phu Trung commune), the duo was asked by a patrol team of the commune police to stop their vehicle for inspection.
Not obeying orders, Dat and Tan allegedly drove their car straight into the task force and fled. Being chased, they used electric crossbows to return fire, hitting the police officer's hand but were arrested shortly afterwards.
Previously, in mid-2014, four dog thieves in Cu Chi district also shot crossbows at the pursuers, causing three young men to fall off their motorbikes and die.
