On the afternoon of October 6, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency announced: The unit has initiated a case,prosecute the accusedand ordered the temporary detention of Nguyen Van Thang (born 1988), residing in Thanh Vinh 2 hamlet, Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district, for the act of "Theft of property".

Previously, at noon on September 29, Nghi Loc District Police received a report from Khanh Hop Commune Police about Mr. Le Van D. (born in 1984), residing in Le Mao Ward, Vinh City, an employee of a construction site in Dong Thinh Hamlet, Khanh Hop Commune, reporting that a thief had broken in and stolen an Iphone X and an iPad mini 2, totaling 15 million VND.

The Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal, Economic, Drug Crimes (Nghi Loc District Police) and Khanh Hop Commune Police urgently coordinated to search for the perpetrator. Through professional activities, the same evening, the investigation agency had enough evidence to determine that Nguyen Van Thang was the subject who caused the above theft.

Working with the investigation agency, Nguyen Van Thang confessed that his family's circumstances were difficult, his mother had passed away and his father was disabled. Wanting to have money to support his father without having to work hard, Thang thought of stealing property.

Early in the afternoon of September 25, the subject entered the employee living area of ​​a construction site in Dong Thinh hamlet, Khanh Hop commune. Here, taking advantage of everyone sleeping, the subject quickly stole an Iphone X and an iPad mini 2 from Mr. Le Van D. Afterwards, Thang took the stolen phone and tablet to sell to a phone shop owner in Vinh city for 1.65 million VND.

On the same afternoon of October 6, the assets recovered in the case were handed over to the victim by the investigating agency. Currently, the case is being further investigated by Nghi Loc District Police./.
