Thieves stole dozens of guardrails to sell as scrap metal.

(Baonghean.vn) - To get money for spending, a group of teenagers in Nghi Loc district stole the connecting accessories that hold the guardrail between National Highway 1A and the railway.

On the morning of October 31st, information from the Nghi Loc police indicated that they are expanding their investigation into the theft of connecting accessories for guardrails between National Highway 1A and the North-South railway line.

Earlier, at approximately 2 PM on October 29th, Task Force No. 3 of the Nghi Loc District Police, in coordination with the Cau Cam Railway Station, caught Ngo Van H. (16 years old) and Bui Van L. (14 years old), both residing in Nghi Yen commune, in the act of stealing connecting accessories for the railway fence.

Expanding the investigation, the Nghi Loc district police arrested Hoang Van H. (14 years old, residing in Nghi Yen commune) who was also involved in the theft.

During questioning, the suspects confessed that they had sold the stolen accessories to a scrap metal kiosk (in Hamlet 4, Nghi Yen) to get money for personal expenses. At the scrap metal kiosk, authorities recovered 44 sets of accessories.

According to the unit responsible for the Cau Cam railway line, thieves stole 102 sets of connecting accessories from the guardrail between National Highway 1A and the railway, specifically from km 297+150 to km 298+720.
