Stole more than 1 billion VND when the homeowner went to celebrate Tet
Two thieves broke in and stole 500 million VND, 30 thousand USD and a Vaio laptop from the homeowner who was giving New Year greetings.
On February 21, Ngu Hanh Son District Police (Da Nang City) announced that they had urgently arrested suspects Tran Quoc Linh and Phan Van Phuc (23 years old, both residing in Group 3, An Hai Tay Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City) for the act of theft of property.

Accordingly, on February 16 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Mr. VNV's family (residing in My An ward, Ngu Hanh Son district) went to wish everyone a happy new year from about 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. When returning, Mr. V. discovered that the main door had been broken into, the safe in the bedroom on the second floor was missing 500 million VND, 30,000 USD and a black Sony Vaio laptop. The total loss of assets was about 1 billion VND.
Upon receiving the news, Ngu Hanh Son district police checked for subjects with criminal records, gamblers in the area... At the same time, coordinated with Son Tra district police to investigate additional subjects in wards bordering the two districts.

On the afternoon of February 17 (the second day of the Lunar New Year), the police summoned Tran Quoc Linh for questioning because they saw that he had many suspicious signs: drug addiction, unemployment, but spending a lot on Tet and gambling. At the investigation agency, Linh admitted to committing the crime and revealed that he had an accomplice, Phan Van Phuc.
According to the testimony, on the afternoon of February 16, Phuc drove a motorbike with Linh to go steal and discovered that Mr. V's house was empty. The two broke the main door, took money and a laptop from the second floor bedroom, and then divided the stolen property in half.
At Linh’s house, the police seized more than 600 million. After hearing the news, Phuc fled the area with 13 thousand USD. However, at around 6 pm on February 19, Phuc was arrested while preparing to catch a bus to escape to Laos.
