Stealing a car and selling it but no one bought it, overseas Vietnamese gets 10 years in prison
Discovering a car parked in front of Becamex Tower Shopping Center, Kevin Long Nguyen tried to steal it and sell it for money, but no one bought it because the car did not have any papers.

On October 31, Binh Duong Provincial People's Court held a first-instance trial of the case of "Theft of property" against defendant Kevin Long Nguyen (30 years old, American nationality).
According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Binh Duong province, defendant Kevin Long Nguyen was born in Dong Nai province, then moved to the US and became a US citizen. In 2016, Kevin Long Nguyen returned to Vietnam from the US and lived a vagrant life without a job or a stable place of residence.
On the morning of August 6, 2017, Kevin Long Nguyen wandered to the Becamex Tower shopping mall in Binh Duong. There, he saw Mr. Pham Viet A. (47 years old, living in Binh Duong) park his car in front of the building but carelessly left the door unlocked and left the keys inside the car. At this time, Kevin Long Nguyen had the idea of stealing the car to sell for money.
After getting the car, Kevin Long Nguyen went straight to Ho Chi Minh City to sell it but no one bought it so he continued to Dong Nai to find a place to sell it but was unsuccessful because the car did not have any papers.

On September 8, 2017, Kevin Long Nguyen drove to Binh Duong to continue looking for a place to sell his car when he was discovered by local people and arrested and handed over to the police.
During the investigation and at the trial, defendant Kevin Long Nguyen admitted all his crimes and always confessed honestly. At the end of the trial, the Trial Panel sentenced defendant Kevin Long Nguyen to 10 years in prison for "Theft of property".
