Young man was beaten up for stealing donation money from temple
Breaking into an ancient temple to steal money, a young man was caught by locals and beaten in the face before being handed over to the police.

Tien Lang District Police, Hai Phong, said they are temporarily detaining Hoang Van Manh (25 years old), residing in Zone 7, Thanh Ha Town, Thanh Ha District (Hai Duong) for breaking into an ancient temple and stealing property.
Previously, at 2:30 p.m. on January 6, residents of Doan Lap commune (Tien Lang district) discovered three strange young men riding a motorbike around the area, then entering Long Bi temple in Tu Doi village to break the donation box. Discovering the theft of money, residents shouted and chased after them. Manh was arrested with 1,567,000 VND. Manh's two accomplices escaped.
Angry because some of the temple's worship items were recently stolen, villagers beat Manh up before handing him over to the police.
