On the morning of October 9, Colonel Tran Van Minh - Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (PC52) of Nghe An Provincial Police said that this unit had just coordinated with professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police to arrest suspect Vu Thai Quang.
Defendant Vu Thai Quang was arrested at noon on October 8 at a rented room in Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City. At the investigation agency, Quang admitted that he was the person wanted by Ho Chi Minh City Police 18 years ago.
Previously, in 1999, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department decided to search for suspect Vu Thai Quang (born in 1974, from Hung Xa commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An) for the crime of "Receiving or consuming property obtained by others through crime".
