Escaped from arrest, returned to the coastal city to open a drinking place

Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that they have just handed over Vu Cao Anh (born in 1991, from Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) to Hanoi City Police to continue investigating and handling the murder case. Anh was wanted by Hanoi City Police nearly 4 years ago.

According to police records, although he did not have a stable job, Anh often gathered with friends to drink and hang out. In particular, when drunk, he often caused trouble and beat people, causing injuries, so he was put on the local police's "black list".

In September 2012, after a drinking party with a group of friends, Anh was riding a motorbike on Nguyen Trai Street, Tu Liem District (now Nam Tu Liem District), Hanoi City when he collided with Mr. NNĐ (residing in Hanoi City), causing minor injuries to both parties and minor damage to his motorbike. After calling relatives to intervene, the two sides started a fight. The fight left several people on both sides injured, including Mr. NNĐ, who was stabbed to death by Anh.

After committing the crime, Anh went into hiding. Later, Anh was wanted by the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency.

During nearly 4 years of hiding, to avoid being discovered and arrested by the police, Anh wandered around many places, constantly changing his residence. Over the past 6 months, Anh came to Nha Trang and rented a house. Thinking that after nearly 4 years of disappearance, the police would not be able to track down his whereabouts, Anh recently opened a drinking place on Dien Bien Phu Street, Vinh Hoa Ward.

After receiving the file from Hanoi City Police, the Criminal Investigation Department (PC52) of the Provincial Police conducted a search in the area and discovered a young man over 1.65 meters tall, speaking with a Northern accent with many characteristics matching the suspect in the file of Hanoi City Police, present in Nha Trang City, so they quickly took action to verify.

Using sharp professional measures, PC52 detectives determined that the young man with the above characteristics was exactly Anh, so they organized a plan to surround and arrest him. On the afternoon of January 14, detectives suddenly raided Anh's drinking place on Dien Bien Phu Street and arrested him.

According to PC52 of the Provincial Police, from November 2015 to now, 8 wanted subjects have been arrested by the unit's detectives and handed over to the police of various units and localities for handling according to regulations./.
