Trong Hieu won the championship of Vietnam Idol 2015

The gala night announcing the results of the sixth season of Vietnam Idol took place on the evening of August 2 in Ho Chi Minh City. Rightas expected, Trong Hieu surpassed Bich Ngoc with more than 70% of the votes, winning the championship title of this music playground. He received a cash prize worth 600 million VND.

The new champion was moved when his grandmother came on stage to present him with flowers. Trong Hieu was born in 1992 in Germany. Although he had a passion for singing since he was a child, his mother wanted Trong Hieu to become a lawyer. However, in the end, the 9X guy convinced his family to support him in pursuing music. He participated in stage performances from an early age. Trong Hieu was once in the Top 25 of German Idol and won many awards for dancing.

Although many people predicted he would win, Trong Hieu was still surprised and choked up when his name was called for the highest position.

At the Vietnam Idol Search program, Trong Hieu was evaluated as having a bright stage face, beautiful appearance and attractive performance style. At the Gala night, he and Bich Ngoc "burned" themselves out in the performances with a comfortable and confident mentality. Bich Ngoc won the runner-up prize this year. Thanh Bui commented that in the six seasons of Idol, he has never seen anyone with a voice as strong and powerful as Bich Ngoc. He believes she has a high chance of becoming a diva in the Vietnamese music industry in the near future.

Trong Hieu and Bich Ngoc had an equally strong gala night, but Trong Hieu had more advantages because he had a larger fan base than the female contestant. In addition to their two solo performances, the two also performed the hit "Man in the mirror" with judge Thanh Bui.

The top two contestants performed the mashup "Shine your light - Stronger". Singer Uyen Linh, when interviewed that night, said she texted to vote for Bich Ngoc. Meanwhile, judge Quang Dung texted both contestants.

Before that, opening the gala night, the two finalists and the top 8 of Vietnam Idol had an exciting performance. They sang enthusiastically, without pressure from winning or losing, and conveyed many emotions to the listeners.

Thu Minh took the stage to perform her new single "Don't Love" (composed by Trang Phap). The singer was moved to thank Thanh Bui for convincing her to become a judge on Vietnam Idol this year. She also gave advice to the top two on the final night: "Remember to always sing with the same innocence and emotion as the first days on the Vietnam Idol stage today. Hopefully the competition will help you gain more provisions and passionate energy for the thorny road ahead."
