Growing Ando 69 hot peppers reaches 200 million VND/ha
(Baonghean.vn) - In the spring of 2016, the Agricultural Extension Station of Quynh Luu district implemented the Ando 69 chili pepper production model in Quynh Thuan and An Hoa communes with 40 households participating on an area of 3 hectares.
Households participating in growing chili under the model will be supported 100% with Ando 69 chili seeds and bio-fertilizers. Sowing time starts from January 20, 2016.

Field evaluation shows that Ando 69 chili (also known as chili pepper) has the characteristics of strong growth, good resistance to pests and diseases, especially to drought and bacterial wilt, suitable for barefoot in An Hoa and Quynh Thuan communes.

The Ando 69 chili pepper variety gives a net harvest in 5 months with an average yield of 30 tons per hectare. This year, the price of chili peppers reached 40,000 VND/kg at times. |
After 4 months of care, farmers harvested the first crop of fruits and the chili harvest period lasted 5 months. By the end of the season, the average yield of Ando 69 chili reached 28 to 30 tons/ha. Notably, there were 2 households, Mr. Nguyen Van Tiep in Quynh Thuan commune, who achieved a yield of 700 kg/sao and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quang in An Hoa commune, who achieved 600 kg/sao.
According to calculations, implementing the model, people earn a profit of 200 million VND/ha.
