On October 18, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police said that it is coordinating with Lien Chieu District Police to investigate the theft of 130 mobile phones of various types that occurred at Dien May Xanh supermarket on Ton Duc Thang Street (Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District).
According to the report of the supermarket manager, Ms. N.TT, on the evening of October 14, due to heavy rain and flooding about to enter the supermarket, Ms. T and 6 employees and the supermarket's security guard cleaned up, collected all the phones on display and electronic devices, put them in plastic bags and placed them on high places to avoid damage.

Later, because the flood water around the area rose, 9 passersby (unknown origin) asked to take shelter in the supermarket. At about 11:30 p.m. the same day, Ms. T. locked the glass door and went up to the second floor with the staff and 5 residents to rest, while the rest stayed on the ground floor.
At around 1:30 a.m. on October 15, Ms. T. went down to the ground floor and discovered that the tempered glass doors in front of the shop were completely broken and the 4 people who had taken shelter from the rain had left. Ms. T. called the staff to check and discovered that 130 phones of brands such as Iphone, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Realine... in plastic bags had been lost, causing a loss of about 1.2 billion VND.
The case is under further investigation and clarification.
