'On duty' at the hospital

During the Lunar New Year, the disease situation often becomes quite complicated, especially with many cases of traffic accidents, food poisoning... Like last year, the spirit of "All for the sick" continues to be thoroughly implemented by the Nghe An Health sector.
Pharmacist Hoang Van Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Health said: The Department of Health has requested medical examination and treatment facilities to ensure a good 24/24 emergency system for medical examination and treatment for the people. In addition to the main on-duty team, each unit arranges a backup on-duty team, which will be mobilized when necessary, especially in case of mass emergencies. In addition, we also organize to reserve enough medicine, blood, infusion fluid and necessary means and equipment for emergency and medical examination and treatment; ensure that all emergency patients are examined and treated promptly, without refusal or delay in handling.

Following the direction of the health sector, all units have prepared all plans and conditions to be ready to meet the health care needs of the people before, during and after the Dinh Dau Lunar New Year.
Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Director of Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center said: "Normally, during Tet, blood will be scarce. To prepare well the required blood reserve of over 1,000 units of blood, the center has just organized 2 blood donation campaigns: "Red Sunday" on January 15, 2017, collecting 500 units of blood; "Reunion Blood Drops" recently collected 400 units of blood. This Tet, Nghe An has basically had quite enough blood reserves. After Tet, on February 16, the center will continue to organize the blood donation festival of the health sector "Pink Blue White Drops".
Unlike other medical facilities, during Tet, the number of patients admitted to Nghe An Orthopedic Trauma Hospital is much higher than usual. To meet the treatment requirements, before Tet, the hospital has developed a specific plan, fully prepared in terms of human resources and material conditions.
Doctor Nguyen Hoai Nam - Director of Nghe An Orthopedic Trauma Hospital said: "The hospital has arranged for the number of emergency staff to be on duty twice as much as usual. In addition, doctors and nurses who are on leave are also informed to be ready to take on tasks when mobilized. Currently, medicines, facilities, and consumables are also prepared with surplus, ensuring even the worst case scenario of traffic disasters and natural disasters."
At Nghe An General Hospital, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tra - Head of the hospital's General Planning Department said: "This Tet Dinh Dau 2017, the hospital will focus on human resources for 7 key departments that often have a lot of patients during Tet, which are the emergency department, intensive care, surgical resuscitation, trauma, spinal neurosurgery, anesthesia and resuscitation, and infection.
Other departments ensure staff, treatment and attentive care for patients. All conditions for care, treatment, medicine provision, and canteen for patients are still implemented as usual. On Tet holiday, the hospital will organize a program to celebrate Tet and give lucky money to patients and their families...

With the urgent atmosphere of all for the sick, Nam Dan District Health Department is directing medical units in the area to focus on the best conditions to serve the sick.

Therefore, the health sector recommends that people should not use beer and alcohol when participating in traffic and should not use alcohol because the risk of alcohol poisoning is very high.
