Today (May 9), all over Russia celebrates the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, with the highlight of the event being the Military Parade on Red Square and fireworks display.
11,000 servicemen to take part in parade The Russian Defense Ministry said that more than 11,000 servicemen took part in the parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Red Square, including servicemen from the Defense Ministry and other security agencies - the FSB, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Russian National Guard and military units of foreign countries. Of these, more than 1,500 servicemen were directly involved in special military operations.
