With propaganda tricks and tricks to attract customers to sell virtual booths, MB24 Company established many branches and representative offices in Hanoi and 31 provinces and cities nationwide.

On November 1, 2011, MB24 Company established Uong Bi branch, headed by Nguyen Thi Lien. Lien agreed to contribute capital with Bui Tien Lan and another person.

Lan joined MB24 branch with Lien for about 2 months then split off to develop on his own.

As Deputy Director of MB24 Uong Bi branch, after being trained and coached, in order to sell virtual booths, Lan opened a number of seminars or directly consulted, introduced, guided, and promoted to many people the material benefits they enjoy when buying virtual booths.

Accordingly, when becoming a member of MB24, you will be able to buy cheap goods, guaranteed quality, convenient; the amount of money to buy virtual booths will be submitted to MB24 company to exchange for electronic points (1 point is equivalent to 10,000 VND) and is only valid for internal use within the website muaban24.vn.

The price to buy a virtual booth is 5.2 million VND. Once you have a virtual booth, you will be given an electronic payment account for transactions, the fee to activate this account is 240,000 VND.

If you buy multiple virtual booths and join early, you will get more benefits. If you introduce a participant to buy 1 virtual booth, you will be rewarded 1.5 million VND (direct commission).

When there are 2 virtual booths "planted" under your booth, you will receive a direct commission of 320,000 VND.

When you develop 99 pairs of symmetrical virtual booths under you, you will reach VIP status and will receive more than 130 million VND. The commission and VIP bonus amount will be automatically converted into points transferred to the participant's electronic payment account.

According to the first instance verdict, from November 2011 to July 2012, Lan spent his own money to buy a number of virtual booths to develop his branch and mobilized and attracted 104 people to buy 240 virtual booths to receive commissions.

Those who participated in buying virtual booths or paying money to exchange points would pay money to Lan. The defendant transferred more than 1.1 billion VND to MB24 company (of which Lan used his own money to buy virtual booths, more than 156 million VND).

The first instance verdict stated that Lan had helped MB24 Company appropriate more than 943 million VND from the victims.

The People's Court of Quang Ninh province sentenced Lan to 7 years in prison, saying that the defendant was fully aware that his actions were illegal, but because he wanted money to spend, he ignored the law.

After the first instance verdict, the defendant appealed for a reduced sentence. He has now recovered more than 500 million VND and is sick, having to sit in a wheelchair in court.

After consideration, the appellate court decided to reduce the sentence for defendant Bui Tien Lan to 5 years in prison.
