Drug lord armed with guns and grenades fiercely fights back against police

At around 6:30 p.m. on March 10, Ky Son District Police raided and arrested Va Pa Co (born in 1968), residing in Nhot Kho village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, for the act of illegal drug trafficking, successfully breaking up Project 319ML.
At the scene, the police seized 300 synthetic drug pills, 25 grams of heroin, 1 grenade, 1 loaded shotgun, 1 flintlock gun and 1 sharp knife.

However, during the arrest, the subject used a gun to fiercely fight back, injuring Lieutenant Nguyen Van Lap, an officer of the General Investigation Team, in the face and breaking a tooth.
It is known that Va Pa Co is one of the local drug ringleaders. Due to his long-term drug addiction, Va Pa Co often goes to Laos to get drugs to use and sell to drug addicts in the area.
Seeing the big profits, along with being familiar with the terrain of the border area, Pa Co gradually became an "agent", specializing in retailing for "brokers" and addicts inside and outside the area.
He was one of the important links in the drug trafficking and transportation ring from Laos to Ky Son district and then to other provinces in Vietnam.
