Gangseo Police Station in Seoul, South Korea, said it will end its investigation and ask prosecutors to indict Cho Hyun-min, the daughter of the chairman of Korean Air, on charges of obstruction of business on May 11, according toYonhap.
Police launched an investigation after Cho, 36, a former marketing director at Korean Air, threw a cup of water at an employee during a business meeting in March because the employee did not answer a question correctly.
However, because the victim did not want to pursue charges, police were unable to request prosecutors to charge Cho with assault. Earlier this month, police requested an arrest warrant for Cho, but prosecutors rejected the request due to lack of evidence. As a result, police forwarded the case to prosecutors on charges of obstruction of business.
