The 1941 parade was recorded in the glorious history of the Soviet Union for its great spiritual significance, arousing national pride and readiness to sacrifice in the fight to protect the Fatherland. US President Donald Trump said that if Democrats in the House of Representatives launch an investigation into him and his administration, he will definitely ask Republicans in the Senate to investigate the Democrats. His threat came after the US midterm elections ended with the results of the two houses being divided for the next two years.
Democrats won a majority in the House of Representatives after the midterm elections and will officially take over the legislative body in January 2019, meaning they have the power to investigate and impeach. Indonesia extends search for crashed Boeing 737 MAX

Indonesian authorities said on November 7 that they will extend the search for other important parts of the crashed Boeing 737 MAX, such as the second black box and fuselage, as well as body parts of the victims. Accordingly, the search operation will be extended by 3 days, starting from November 8.
Speaking at a press conference, Muhammad Syaugi, head of the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), said the operation has lasted for 10 days and the agency has enough resources to continue the search. According to the agency, they currently have 220 staff, including 60 divers, as well as four ships participating in the search in an area with a radius of 250 meters.
South Korea buys missile complex, enhances military defense

The South Korean Ministry of National Defense has approved a plan to purchase an upgraded version of the US-made PAC-3 MSE air defense missile system to enhance the military's defense capabilities.
The plan to equip the PAC-3 MSE systems will begin deployment from 2021, through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program between the two governments.
A PAC-3 MSE system costs about 6 billion won (equivalent to 5.34 million USD). Currently, the South Korean military is using the PAC-3 CRI interceptor system with a range of 20km. PAC-3 MSE has an operating range of about 40km.
US Secretary of State postpones meeting with senior North Korean official

The US State Department announced that the meeting between US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean officials scheduled for November 8 in New York has been postponed and will be rescheduled when conditions allow.
In its statement, the US State Department said the US remains focused on fulfilling the commitments agreed to by President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at their summit in Singapore in June.
Russia considers all US sanctions related to chemical weapons illegal

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia would consider any chemical weapons-related sanctions imposed by the United States to be illegal.
The statement came a day after the US State Department said it would impose additional sanctions on Russia after Moscow failed to provide reasonable assurances that it would not use chemical weapons following the suspected poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal in the UK.
Russia has denied any involvement in the poisoning and has vowed to retaliate against any US sanctions.

Armed men have released all 78 students and a school driver they kidnapped from a school in the western city of Bamenda two days ago. However, they still hold the school principal and a teacher.
The incident occurred in the English-speaking region of Cameroon, where gunmen are waging an insurgency aimed at establishing a breakaway state.
