The BBC reported that the US Department of Justice has just appealed a Seattle judge's ruling to suspend the implementation of the decree issued by Mr. Donald Trump.

The move is said to be aimed at reversing a ruling by Washington state federal judge James Robart on February 3. The Seattle judge's ruling is effective immediately and nationwide.

Shortly after Robart’s ruling, the State Department announced that it would accept 60,000 visas that were “temporarily revoked” due to Trump’s travel ban. At the same time, the Department of Homeland Security announced that it was temporarily suspending the implementation of the immigration executive order signed by President Donald Trump on January 27.

CNN quoted the Department of Homeland Security's announcement as saying: "The Department of Homeland Security will resume immigration screening based on standard policies and procedures."

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has notified airlines of the restoration of revoked visas, and encouraged airlines to transport passengers who are refugees holding legitimate U.S. visas.

Responding to all these developments, Mr. Trump posted on Twitter: "Where is this country coming from when a judge can suspend the Department of Homeland Security's travel ban, and anyone, even with bad intentions, can come to the United States?"

With visa holders from seven Muslim-majority countries already boarding flights to the US, there are concerns that the window of entry into the US is narrowing.
