US President Donald Trump said that after the US withdrew from the "nuclear deal", Iran began "withdrawing its people" from Syria and Yemen, where armed conflicts have continued in recent years.

"I think Iran has changed, I don't think they're looking at the Mediterranean, Syria, Yemen, and they're starting to withdraw troops from Syria and Yemen. This is something else," Mr. Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
"I did this because of the nuclear issue, but this is a side effect… Iran is not the same country that it was three or four months ago when they were much bolder," the US President added.
On May 8, Donald Trump announced that Washington was withdrawing from the agreement with Iran on its nuclear program reached by six international mediators (Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, France, Germany) in 2015.
