The plane carrying North Korean leader Kim Jong-un landed at Singapore's Changi Airport at around 2:00 p.m. local time.Straits Timesreported. Mr. Kim Jong-un arrived in this island nation by Air China, China. The North Korean leader then met with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana - the Presidential Palace of Singapore.
After a few hours, US President Donald Trump's Air Force One landed at Paya Lebar military base in Singapore, according toReuters.Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan welcomed him at the airport.
Trump and Kim will have a historic summit on Sentosa Island, Singapore on June 12. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, National Security Adviser John Bolton, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Joe Hagin are expected to attend the meeting between the US President and the North Korean leader. US First Lady Melania Trump will not be present on this trip to Singapore.

On the morning of June 10, Singapore opened a press center to serve the US-North Korea Summit. The press center (IMC) is located at the F1 Pit building, about 5km from the Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island, where the summit is taking place. Activities at the Summit will be broadcast live to the center.
IMC has 2,000 working places, media hubs serving on-site program production. Reporters who come here to work will receive about 20 services including meals and high-speed internet. From early morning on June 10, many reporters came to receive their press cards. To get this card, reporters must go through a very difficult registration process and complicated censorship.

Iran urges European countries to quickly make decisions on JCPOA

Iran's parliament speaker Ali Larijani warned that time was running out for European partners to prove they could salvage the Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and Tehran would not wait for indefinite commitments from these countries.
Speaking at the Iranian parliament on June 10, Larijani urged European countries to quickly make clear decisions if they consider the possibility of maintaining the Iran nuclear deal. Otherwise, he warned that Iran would take concrete steps on its nuclear program and other issues.
Türkiye builds 700km long border wall with Syria

Turkish media quoted an unnamed official as saying that the country has built 764km of concrete wall along the border with Syria. This border wall has a multi-layer structure with advanced technology, built in 6 provinces of Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Kilis, Hatay, Mardin and Sirnak of Türkiye.
The purpose of building this wall is to prevent illegal border crossings and smuggling activities, and to increase security in the border area between Türkiye and Syria.
Egypt's cabinet to be restructured, downsized from 33 to 24 ministers

Egypt's state-run newspaper Al Ahram reported on June 10 that new Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly is studying the possibility of reducing the number of ministries from 33 to 24.
The new prime minister was tasked with forming a new cabinet on June 6 after Sherif Ismail resigned.
The Egyptian parliament has also approved the list of ministers proposed by new Prime Minister Madbouly. According to the Egyptian constitution, the new cabinet will have to be sworn in by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi. The swearing-in is expected no later than June 12.
Philippine security forces attack Muslim rebels in the South

On June 10, Philippine security forces conducted air and ground attacks on Muslim rebel hideouts in the southern province of Maguindanao.
Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana, an army commander in charge of military operations, said the strikes took place in the Liguasan Swamp area, destroying a bomb-making facility belonging to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), a splinter group of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Sobejana said there were up to 100 BIFF fighters in the area at the time of the attack. Philippine military spokesman Major Arvin Encinas said the military was still assessing casualties in the operation.
Security checkpoint in Afghanistan attacked, 13 policemen killed

An Afghan official said 13 policemen were killed in an attack on a security checkpoint in Arghandab district of Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan on the morning of June 10. The official said the incident occurred when a group of Taliban gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in the Nehgan area of Arghandab district.
The attack comes as the Taliban have just announced a three-day ceasefire for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr.
Morocco rescues more than 470 illegal migrants at sea

The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) of Morocco said that the country's Navy rescued 472 illegal migrants who were in danger while trying to reach Europe from the night of June 8 to June 9.
The Moroccan Navy in the Mediterranean and Atlantic confirmed that it had assisted several boats in difficulty and rescued those on board, including 28 women, 27 minors and three infants.
