Displaying the relic of Vi Van Khang's house creates a highlight for developing tourism in the West
(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Vi Van Khang's house was built in 1919 in the traditional stilt house architecture of the Thai people and was recognized as a national historical revolutionary relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1994.
On May 9, the Science Council of the Department of Culture and Information listened to and gave opinions on the outline of the exhibition of Vi Van Khang's house, a national historical revolutionary relic under the project "Preserving and restoring the relic of Vi Van Khang's house in Thai Hoa village, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province".
This place preserves documents and artifacts about the life and revolutionary career of Mr. Vi Van Khang in the period of 1930 - 1931, a staunch communist, the first Party cell secretary associated with the birth and operation of the Mon Son - Luc Da Party cell, the first Party cell in the Western region of Nghe An.
Through many historical events of war and time, the relic has been restored and embellished twice in 1994 and 2009.
Pursuant to Decision 5703/QD-UBND.CNXD of the Provincial People's Committee approving "Preservation and restoration of the relic of Mr. Vi Van Khang's house in Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province", the Con Cuong District People's Committee has approved the outline of the project: Collection of artifacts, documents to supplement interior, research to restore intangible cultural values" under this project.

After consulting the opinions of the Scientific Council and related departments and units, the name of this project was agreed upon to conveniently implement two contents at the same time: Displaying the interior of Mr. Vi Van Khang's house and displaying additional relics.

The additional exhibition house of adjacent relics in this campus will display additional documents and artifacts related to the original relics according to space, time, customs, practices, tangible and intangible cultural heritages, etc., enriching and highlighting the cultural identities of the Thai people, the spirit and will of the people and the land rich in revolutionary traditions, creating a highlight for tourism development of the province in general and Con Cuong district in particular.
