Exhibition of documents about Uncle Ho writing the Call for National Resistance

At the Uncle Ho Memorial House in Van Phuc village, a special exhibition of documents about the event of Uncle Ho writing the call for national resistance is taking place.

With more than 100 images and artifacts, the exhibition is divided into three themes: Hanoi, the hot days - The Fatherland in danger; President Ho Chi Minh lived, worked and wrote the Call for National Resistance in Van Phuc; Hanoi people responded to President Ho Chi Minh's Call for National Resistance.

At the exhibition, the public can see precious images related to the time Uncle Ho stayed in Van Phuc such as: "Van Phuc village, the safe zone of the Central Committee and the Northern Regional Party Committee from 1938 to 1945", "Mr. Nguyen Quang Oanh's house, the residence and workplace of comrade Nguyen Van Cu, General Secretary of the Party; the meeting place of the Northern Regional Party Committee cadres and the workplace of the Liberation Newspaper in 1939", "Mr. Nguyen Van Chat's house, where comrade General Secretary Truong Chinh lived and worked in 1940".

The previous owner of the Ho Chi Minh House Relic, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in December 1946 in Van Phuc, Ha Dong, was Mr. Nguyen Van Duong. He dedicated the entire second floor of the house for President Ho Chi Minh and his comrades in the working delegation to live and work from December 3 to 19, 1946.

Here, President Ho Chi Minh chaired an expanded meeting of the Party Central Committee Standing Committee, decided to launch a resistance war nationwide, outlined the basic guidelines for the resistance war and approved the "Call for National Resistance" drafted by him, calling on all Vietnamese people to rise up to drive out the invading French colonialists, opening the way for a long-term resistance war to regain independence and freedom for the nation.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the National Resistance Day, Hanoi city has upgraded and expanded the relic of the house where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in December 1946 in Van Phuc village, Ha Dong district./.
