Trieu Hai Regiment pays tribute to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 22, the Liaison Committee of the Veterans Association of Regiment 27, Military Region 4 (also known as the heroic Trieu Hai Regiment) in Nghe An held a ceremony to pay tribute to relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and met with comrades on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Huy Hieu - Former Commander of Regiment 27, Lieutenant General Hoang Ky - Former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, representatives of Military Region 4 Command, Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and all veterans of Regiment 27 in Nghe An.

In 1968, due to the urgent needs of the Southern battlefield, the 4th Military Region Command established the 27th Infantry Regiment to promptly support the battlefield.
From 1968 to 1974, Regiment 27 participated in the battle at Quang Tri battlefield of the B5 front, directly liberating the two districts of Trieu Phong and Hai Lang - Quang Tri. In early 1975, the Regiment participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
At the ceremony, the liaison committee presented 21 gifts to the martyrs' relatives, wounded and sick soldiers, and 19 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Here, the veterans also reviewed the regiment's heroic fighting process, visited and encouraged each other to overcome all difficulties in life, and forever uphold the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.
