Morning 19/12,The Council for Evaluation and Classification of Products of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program of Nghe An organized the opening ceremony of the competition to evaluate and classify OCOP products at the provincial level in 2019.
Attending and directing the contest was comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the OCOP product classification evaluation council of Nghe An province in 2019.
This time, the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council evaluated 51 products of enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities in 11 districts and towns such as: Green tea, black plum, hill chicken, orange, Nghia Hoan chicken eggs, tapioca starch, turmeric starch, fish sauce, tea, green tea extract, lingzhi mushroom tea bags...
In which, the district with the most products participating in the evaluation and classification is Thanh Chuong with 9 products.

Previously, the products were assessed and evaluated by the district-level Evaluation Council as eligible to propose the provincial-level Council to organize scoring and ranking of the products.
At the evaluation session, business owners and production facilities presented their product stories and answered questions from the evaluation council members. The products were scored according to the criteria for evaluating and classifying products of the One Commune One Product Program, stipulated in Decision 1048/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2019 of the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu emphasized: "The program "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) is a program for developing the rural economy in the direction of endogenous development and increasing value, associated with rural and urban development; is a key solution and task in implementing the new rural development program. Therefore, the evaluation and ranking of OCOP products must be organized closely, objectively, scored fairly, transparently, and select products that meet the standards according to the issued criteria.
After this ranking competition, the standing agency is required to promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council to issue policies and mechanisms to help businesses and production facilities continue to improve and enhance product quality step by step to meet domestic and export demand.

The contest will take place over 4 days, from December 18 to 21.
