China builds spy UAV that can fly 3 times faster than sound
(Baonghean.vn)- The Chinese military is preparing to deploy a reconnaissance drone (UAV) that can fly at least three times the speed of sound, The Washington Post reported.
The assessment is among a number of previously leaked top-secret military assets from the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. “The Chinese military may soon deploy high-altitude reconnaissance drones that can travel at least three times the speed of sound, significantly enhancing China’s ability to conduct surveillance operations,” the article said.

According to the document, satellite images dated August 9 last year show two reconnaissance UAVs launching WZ-8 missiles at an airbase in eastern China, about 560 km inland from Shanghai./.
