China reveals details about the terrorist attack in Xinjiang.

On February 16, police in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of northeastern China revealed details of the February 14 terrorist attack on the Wushi County headquarters in Aksu Province, asserting that it was "an organized, premeditated terrorist attack targeting the police."

A statement from Xinjiang police said that three years ago, a man named Mehmut Tohti began spreading religious extremism. Since September 2013, he has led a group of 13 suspected terrorists.

These individuals listened to and watched terrorist-related videos and audio recordings, and also practiced. From January 2014, they acquired vehicles and manufactured explosive devices and machetes, and conducted several test explosions in preparation for attacking police vehicles.

On February 14th, these terrorists, using motorcycles and cars and carrying explosive devices and knives, attacked a police patrol at around 4 PM. As a result, eight terrorists were killed by police, and three others died when they detonated their explosive devices.

The attack also injured two civilians and two police officers, and destroyed or damaged five police vehicles.
