China illegally extends 4G coverage throughout the Paracel Islands.

China Mobile has completed the illegal installation of 4G base stations in the Paracel Islands, which it occupies from Vietnam.

Hainan Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile, launched a 4G base station on Linh Con Island in the Paracel Islands on September 7, Xinhua reported today. The network now covers seven islands in the Paracel Islands: Phu Lam Island, Quang Anh Island, Cay Island, Hoang Sa Island, Tri Ton Island, Quang Hoa Island, and Linh Con Island.

In March, China Mobile illegally deployed 4G coverage at Fiery Cross Reef and Subi Reef in Vietnam's Spratly Islands, and it is expected to continue building 4G base stations on the artificial islands it has illegally constructed in the Spratly Islands in 2015.

Vietnam has indisputable sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos. Any activities by other parties in these areas without Vietnam's permission are illegal and invalid.
