China's Ministry of Land and Resources warns of double-dip landslides amid heavy rains.

The earthquake rescue work in Ya'an City, Baoxing County, Sichuan Province, China has entered its third day. The search for victims and the recovery of the earthquake are still being actively carried out. Rescue teams, medical staff, etc. are continuously being dispatched to the area. Along with that, China is also actively implementing activities to provide food to people in the damaged areas, avoiding the phenomenon of people going hungry.

According to Chinese media, as of the morning of April 22 (China time), 208 people had died, 25 were missing, and 11,460 were injured due to the earthquake. This number has not stopped yet, as Chinese police have determined that many people are still trapped in the rubble.

Meanwhile, along with aftershocks, heavy rains were reported in Sichuan and surrounding areas on April 22. The Chinese Ministry of Land and Resources warned residents of the risk of landslides due to heavy rain.

Many countries have sent messages of condolences and expressed their willingness to help China overcome the consequences of the earthquake. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent messages of condolences to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang. In the message, Japanese Prime Minister Abe emphasized: “Japan has a lot of experience in earthquake prevention. Therefore, Japan is willing to share that experience with China.”

In response to Japan's goodwill, a Chinese government official thanked the Japanese government and people and said that currently, not only Japan but many countries have also expressed their willingness to help China.

In 2008, a major earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, killing more than 250,000 people./.
