Attending the performance were Mr. Bui Nhu Lai - Head of the Department of Theater, Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema; Dr. Nguyen Dang Chuong - Director of the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts, Ms. Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Ho Mau Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, People's Artist Hong Luu - Former Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center, People's Artist Tien Dung, People's Artist Hoang Thanh, literary and art critics in the province.
Nghe Tinh folk opera has long been an indispensable spiritual food for the people of Nghe An. Although it was born later than other traditional theater forms such as tuong, cheo, cai luong, Nghe Tinh folk opera has quickly affirmed its position and reputation in the country's traditional theater industry. The play "Don't fall down"The play, written by Nguyen Dang Chuong and directed by Bui Nhu Lai, adapted by People's Artist An Ninh, is reported to be performed tonight as a professional stage performance to honor the image of the People's Police and to be performed for the people to enjoy.
The play tells the story of the sacrifice and loss of a police officer from Nghe An province while on duty. He was once an excellent undercover officer, having broken many major drug cases, but because of his professional duties, he became addicted to drugs. Although his battle with himself was no less fierce, with his determination and the help of his comrades, he was finally able to stand up and start over.
The play aims to praise the image of the People's Public Security soldier in the war in peacetime, especially the war against illegal drug trafficking. In that war, sometimes soldiers have to sacrifice, trade love, honor; there are also shining examples but there are also elements who call themselves People's Public Security soldiers but still trade honor, betray friends and comrades for their own interests and fame.
The folk opera consists of 07 scenes and 08 characters, with many tear-jerking passages from the audience, and was highly appreciated by the art council.
After the performance, the art council had many comments about the script content and the actors' performances. However, to further perfect the play, director Bui Nhu Lai affirmed that he will continue to polish and invest so that the performances are imbued with the generous and affectionate character of Nghe An people.
