The Central Committee elected 4 additional members of the 13th Politburo.

On the first working day (May 16), the 9th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee elected 4 additional members of the Politburo.

The four elected personnel are all Secretaries of the 13th Party Central Committee: Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and Mr. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Department.

GrandfatherLe Minh HungBorn in 1970, hometown in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province; professional qualification: Master of Public Policy.

He is Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee; Member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; Delegate of the 15th National Assembly.

Mr. Hung has held many positions: Deputy Head and then Head of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Department of International Cooperation; Deputy Head and then Head of the Department of International Cooperation; Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel, State Bank of Vietnam.

In October 2011, he became Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam. In 2014, he held the position of Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office for 2 years and then returned to serve as Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam from April 2016 to October 2020.

Since October 2020, Mr. Le Minh Hung has been assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Chief of the Party Central Office until now.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai is a member of the Party Central Committee, 10th (alternate), 11th, 12th, 13th terms; a delegate of the 15th National Assembly.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai has been associated with the Inspection and Control sector for a long time and has held the following positions: Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee; Secretary of Phu Ly City Party Committee; Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union...

In March 2011, she held the position of Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, then Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission.

Since April 2021, she has been Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization until now.

He was Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee; Member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; National Assembly Delegate of the 14th and 15th terms; with the rank of Senior Lieutenant General.

He held the positions of Deputy Head, Head of Propaganda Department of Political Department, Military Region 7; Deputy Political Commissar, then Political Commissar of Division 5, Military Region 7; Deputy Chief of Politics, Military Region 7; Political Commissar of Army Corps 4.

From September 2012 - January 2021: he was Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

He has held the position of Head of the Central Propaganda Department from February 2021 to present.

GrandfatherDo Van ChienBorn in 1962, hometown in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province; Bachelor of Agriculture degree.

He was an alternate member of the 10th Central Committee; a member of the Party Central Committee for the 11th, 12th, and 13th terms; and a National Assembly delegate for the 13th and 14th terms.

Mr. Chien has held many important positions in Tuyen Quang: Vice Chairman of Son Duong District People's Committee; Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Son District People's Council.

In September 2001, he became Vice Chairman and then Permanent Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee and later became Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee.

In August 2011, he was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term.

In February 2015, he became Deputy Minister - Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee and held the position of Minister - Chairman of the Ethnic Committee since April 2016.

He has held the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th term, 2019-2024, from April 2021 to present.
