In the 90th minute of the match between HAGL and SLNA, when the score was 1-0 in favor of the home team, defender Hoang Van Khanh of the Nghe An team, while participating in an attack, collided very hard with Dong Trieu of HAGL in the air.

When landing, both players were bleeding from the head, the doctor had to come on the field to give first aid and bandage the wound. The injury was quite serious, losing a lot of blood but Van Khanh continued to play until the end of the match.
As soon as the referee’s whistle blew, he collapsed on the field. The ambulance had left Pleiku Stadium and was called back to provide first aid and take the former U23 Vietnam player to the hospital.
Regarding Van Khanh's injury, coach Duc Thang said: "Van Khanh suffered a deep tear in his head, which caused the player to lose a lot of blood and collapse on the field after his efforts at the end of the match."
At the hospital, the SLNA midfielder received 15 stitches on his head. Last night, Van Khanh returned to the hotel with the team but was still in pain and dizzy.
It is expected that today (May 27), coach Duc Thang and his team will return to Nghe An to prepare for the match against Hanoi FC at home on May 30. Most likely, in that match, SLNA will have to arrange the central defender pair Ngoc Hai - Manh Hung so that Van Khanh has time to recover from his injury./.
