Ahead of V.League 2020, SLNA renews contracts of many players
(Baonghean.vn) - Last year, a series of Song Lam Nghe An players' contracts expired and many of them left, including 4 key players and 3 foreign players. Up to this point, many players have been signed or renewed.
At the end of V.League 2019, SLNA had 14 players whose contracts had expired and domestic players such as Nguyen Manh, Khac Ngoc, Dinh Hoang, Ngoc Toan, The Cuong, and Manh Dung had left and joined new teams such as Viettel, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and HL Ha Tinh.
Foreign player Damir Memovic joined HAGL Club and striker Michael Olaha moved to play in Israel. As for the remaining players, the Nghe An team is completing procedures to propose to the parent unit.

Accordingly, the players whose contracts were extended by SLNA include Tran Dinh Dong, Nguyen Quang Tinh, Vo Ngoc Duc, Ho Phuc Tinh and Tran Van Tien. The two veterans Dinh Dong and Quang Tinh will continue to be with their hometown team for another year. The remaining players were signed to 2-year contracts with a signing bonus of about 400 million VND/year.
Recently, SLNA's coaching board also inspected the team and purified, adding young faces (on trial) to the professional team participating in V.League such as Bui Dinh Chau, Nguyen Ba Duc, Nguyen Van Viet, Tran Dinh Tien, Tran Ngoc Anh, Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Van Duc, Thai Ba Sang, Ho Van Tu.
Goalkeeper Nguyen Van Hoang joined SLNA with a 1-year contract and an undisclosed transfer fee, but the amount of money for the Nghe An team to have his signature was around 1 billion VND.

Currently, SLNA only has players born in 1995 and 1996 with 1-2 year contracts such as Hoang Van Khanh, Ho Tuan Tai, Phan Van Duc, Pham Xuan Manh... Of which, Van Khanh and Tuan Tai will have their contracts expire when V.League 2020 ends.
In the coming time, SLNA will recruit 1 more central defender and 2 foreign strikers to stabilize the force participating in V.League 2020. Although the launch date of the new co-sponsor has been postponed, the parent company - Bac A Bank is still the main unit in supporting the funding for the Nghe An team to operate.
